Terms of Sale
Last updated September 28, 2026
These terms apply when you buy from NullPoint Electronics ("we", "us") through this website. We've written them to be read. By placing an order, you agree to them.
1. What we sell
We sell professionally tested, refurbished electronic test equipment. Each unit is individual: it's identified by its own serial number, with its own test report and its own description of any cosmetic wear. The photos on a model's page are stock photos of that model. Your unit's condition is described in words on its report.
2. What our test reports mean
Each report lists the readings we took on our bench, on the test date shown, against the reference named on the report. They show how that unit performed when we tested it.
- Our reports are functional verification, not a calibration certificate. We don't provide ISO/IEC 17025 accredited calibration or a traceability certificate unless a report says so.
- Readings can shift with time, temperature and handling. If you need certified accuracy for regulated or critical work, have the unit calibrated by an accredited lab.
- Where a report states a tolerance, it's the tolerance we checked against, not a promise of future accuracy.
3. Prices and availability
Prices are in U.S. dollars. Each unit can only be sold once. While you're in checkout, the units in your cart are held for you for a short time so nobody else can buy them.
If we make a clear mistake in a price or description, we may cancel the order and refund you in full. We'll tell you why.
4. Orders and payment
Your order is confirmed when your payment goes through and you see the order confirmation. Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
Sales tax is added at checkout where the law requires it.
5. Shipping
Shipping is free, to addresses in the U.S.A. only. Orders usually ship within 1–2 business days, and delivery estimates shown at checkout aren't guaranteed. We're responsible for your order until it's delivered. If it's lost or arrives damaged, contact us and we'll make it right with a replacement or a refund.
6. Returns: our 30-day promise
You can return any unit within 30 days of delivery, for any reason, and return shipping is always free. See our Returns Policy for how it works.
7. Your rights
Our 30-day promise is in addition to your rights under the law. Nothing in these terms takes away any right you have as a consumer that the law says can't be taken away, including implied warranties that can't be excluded.
8. Using test equipment safely
Test equipment measures electrical energy that can be dangerous. Use every unit according to the manufacturer's instructions and within its safety ratings (for example, its CAT rating). Inspect test leads before each use, and don't use a unit that looks or acts damaged. Contact us if anything seems wrong with a unit you bought.
9. Limits on our responsibility
To the extent the law allows, we aren't responsible for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or downtime, and our total responsibility for any unit is limited to the price you paid for it. This doesn't limit responsibility that can't be limited under the law, including for our own negligence that causes injury.
10. Brands
Brand names, model names and trademarks belong to their owners. We aren't affiliated with or endorsed by any manufacturer, and a manufacturer's original warranty may not apply to units we sell.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, U.S.A. If we ever have a disagreement, please contact us first. Most things can be sorted out with a conversation.
12. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in effect when you placed your order applies to that order.
