Tested to zero doubt.
Every unit we list as working is inspected and tested on its own before it leaves our bench. Its report shows what was measured, against what, and how it did. Not just that it powered on, but that it performs.
Five steps, every unit.
Nothing is listed until it has passed every step. The unit that's tested is the unit that ships, never a sample or another unit of the same model.
- 01
Inspect
The unit's serial number is logged as its identity. Housing, display, controls, jacks, labels and what's in the box are inspected, cleaned and graded.
- 02
Test
Each applicable function is measured against our bench reference: voltage, resistance, continuity, diode, every button and range.
- 03
Record
Each reading is entered exactly as the unit showed it. Pass or fail is calculated from the reference and tolerance, never chosen by hand.
- 04
Verify
Only a unit that passes every required check is approved for sale. A unit that fails is repaired and tested again from the start, or never sold as working.
- 05
Ship
Cleaned and securely packed with a new battery, and a QR sticker linking to its report.
What they are, and what they aren't.
Functional verification against our reference.
For each applicable function we record the real reading the unit produced and compare it to the tolerance we verify for that test. It answers one question plainly: did this unit perform within spec on our bench?
Your equipment should arrive reading true to our stated reference, within the tolerances on its report.
Accredited calibration certificates.
NullPoint is not an accredited calibration laboratory, and our verification does not establish metrological traceability.
If your work or quality system requires traceable calibration, such as ISO/IEC 17025, send the equipment to an accredited lab after purchase. It should arrive there already reading true.
What the results mean.
The measured result fell within the tolerance we verify for that function against our bench reference.
Worth documenting, but not a functional failure: cosmetic wear, a scratch, a missing non-essential label.
The unit missed a required check. A unit with a failed functional check is never listed as working.
How it looks, graded plainly.
A grade describes cosmetic condition and completeness only. Every graded unit passed every test on its report, whatever its grade.
| A+ Pristine | No visible signs of prior use. Fully tested. |
|---|---|
| A Excellent | Faint marks, visible only up close. Fully tested. |
| B Very Good | Light, normal wear. Fully tested. |
| C Good | Moderate wear, every function in spec. Fully tested. |
| D Fair | Heavy cosmetic wear, fully functional. Fully tested. |
We inspect the housing, display, controls, input jacks, labels and what's in the box, and the unit's grade is its lowest area. A cracked housing, a damaged input jack, an exposed conductor or damaged test leads means the unit isn't sold until it's repaired. Complete in Box marks a unit with every original item and its box.
Every report belongs to one physical unit.
No generic certificate, and no "same model" stand-in. Each report is the record of the unit you're holding. If a unit is ever tested again, that's a new dated report, and the link on the buyer's order keeps showing the report they bought on.

Don't take our word for it. Scan it.
Every unit carries a QR sticker that opens its own report on this website, the only place our reports are published. The report shows the last 4 characters of the unit's serial number, so you can confirm the equipment in your hands is the equipment that was tested. No sticker? Look it up by the serial.
Every unit. Every applicable function. Individually verified.
